I need a loan of £5000 to pay of a few existing debts. My credit score is 520.

I have noticed a lot of private lenders advertising on here. Has anyone actually got a loan from them, and if so did you have to pay money upfront?

A mate of mine contacted richards_loan_agency and he wanted £180 upfront. He also tried Dharrin and he wanted £800 upfront. If we had that kind of money we wouldn't be looking for a loan.
Please get back to me about the private lenders on here, and what upfront fees you have to pay?

I need a loan urgently, but want no credit check or upfront fees.

Thanks

My personal experience is that you generally need to have something in exchange for the loan (collateral). Otherwise, you are better off asking a friend or family member for that amount. You may also click my avatar for an additional resource for funds that you don't have to repay. Regardless, don't be so desperate that you'll do or sign anything for a temporary need. Good luck.

What do you mean by upfront fees.. If they are requesting a appraisal fee upfront then that is correct.. On your check state appraisal fee.. They need to know the value of the house for the mortgage amount that you need. There should be no other fees accept closing fees which are title fees, title insurance, credit report, interest 15 days depending on the loan, and tax and hazard reserves, one year paid homeowners insurance, records fees, etc, survey if one is needed the seller might have one and those fees are collect at the closing make sure you get a Good Faith Estimate that show all the fees and even though it states Estimate it should always be close to the fees at closing. ( not upfront fees) FNMA and FHA fees can be found the the Internet. Any fees must be disclosed before signed anything. Be care full with upfront fees. You can report any scams to the Banking Department but just make sure of it.

All of the "private lenders" who troll Yahoo!Answers are scammers.
