I just posted this question but the link I included allowed for changes to be made to my posting where I am trying to sell it so I wanted to repost this. Please read the link and look at the pics and tell me what you think this is worth. And for those who want to know, I need to sell this to make ends meet...I really do not want to sell it but I am running out of options.

From looking at the pictures, the rubies are of poor quality (pink instead of deep red) and the diamonds are cloudy. I venture $50-$75 would be reasonable.

Impossible to say without looking at the stones through a jeweler's glass. Also, is the ring 10, 14, 18 or 24 carat gold?

Are you absolutely sure you need to sell this ring? Your financial circumstances will improve in time and you will no doubt regret letting go of your grandmother's ring.

If you insist: I would advise taking the ring to a jeweler or jewelry store to get an appraisal in writing (it will cost you to do this, but will be worth it to get what it's worth). Tell a little white fib to the jeweler - say you need an appraisal for your home owner's insurance policy. The reason I suggest this, is that a not-so-honest jeweler will give you a low appraisal and then offer to buy your ring at this low price, if he thinks you need the money. Then take your appraisal to another jeweler who buys rings and offer to sell. Or sell it on EBay, knowing what it is worth.

Good luck.
