i had a green spot next to it. I slowly lifted the nail (its still intack) and white puss can out, i did it a couple of times until it the puss stop coming out . I would just like to know what it was or is .
oh i dont know if this matter but about a week or two ago on the opposite side of the nail i had a ingrown nail but its gone now.

Sounds like you have/had a paronychia: infection of the skin around the nail bed. I've had this twice: one was caused by too-vigorous clipping (lanced it myself & was fine afterwards); the other we think came from a splinter (had to get it lanced by the physician & have antibiotics 'cause the infection started going up my hand/arm).
Yes, an ingrown nail could be the cause of this infection.
See if you can encourage any more pus to come out by using hot compresses (a washcloth is fine).

You had an infection. May not be major. Keep it clean, use peroxide or Iodine to disinfect.
The nail may deteriote but will regrow back to normal.
Keep it dry when bathing with a waterproof bandaid.

what's top what's incorrect? ask your self whether you're doing actual injury by ability of having long nails, and are you breaking the regulation by ability of having long nails. NO. Then do no longer enable particularly particularly everyone else tell that's incorrect
