LOL how can you compare overrated Tony Romo to the best QB today Peyton Manning.

I realize that this question has been asnwered a lot but I couldn't resist.

Peyton Manning threw 3.4 TD's for every interception he threw last season

Tony Romo about 1.5 TD's for every interception.

Tony Romo only has the highest YPA by .7 of a yard. Perhaps if he had gotten another yard or two he would have made it to the end zone in that playoff game instead of crying about having lost.

QB's with higher YPA's than Tony Romo:
Vinny Testeverde
Charlie Batch
Gus Frerotte
A.J. Feely
Kyle Boller
Jamie Martin

While Tony Romo did have the fifth highest QB rating and an excellent completion percentage he still trails Peyton Manning by a fair margin for the title of best QB in the league.

Their first set back of the season? Dude it is PRESEASON. The Oakland Raiders went 4-0 in the Preseason last year and didn't even win 4 GAMES when it counted. I believe the Colts went 0-5 in the Preseason the one year then got to 13-0 in the regular season. So I wouldn't call losing a preseason game a "setback" for the Colts. Now Peyton DID get lucky to get to the Superbowl and to win. Had it not been for the Colts D suddenly getting good Manning's choke job would have cost the Colts AGAIN. Bob Sanders had more right to the MVP award then Manning. Look how much better the D got when he came back. The Media likes Manning though and wanted to give him the MVP award, in case he doesn't get another chance.

You sure did irritate a lot of people by asking this question. I will disagree with you on both of these chumps though. Manning is a decent QB but he is third best in the NFL behind Carson Palmer and Tom Brady. Romo sucks, the only person in the world that sucks more than him is Paris Hilton. She is better at sucking too. Romo had a great five game run, after that, he was terrible. The only reason he made the Pro Bowl is cuz the NFC is terrible at that position. The only reason the Cowboys have a chance this year is cuz all the elite teams are in the AFC. NFC is the junior varsity.

No way is Tony Romo better than Peyton Manning during any past or present time. The only possible reason you could say that is because Romo had a better completion percentage. Although he did Peyton threw 136 more times than Romo did and that gives him more chances to fail. Other than that Peyton threw for 1,400 more yards which is almost 100 more yards per game than Romo. Also Manning had 12 more TD's, 4 less INT's, 7 less sacks, and is 5.9 higher on his QB rating. Peyton Manning is a much better quarterback that is in him prime. Romo had one good, just good year and everybody is hopping on the Romo band wagon. I hate to say it, but he is overrated and unproven. He really hasn't shown us enough to believe he is a reliable quarterback, but after all he is young.

You know I'm a Cowboys fan but to say that Romo is a better QB than Peyton is ridiculous. Peyton is the best QB in the NFL right now. The colts always have a chance to win the game as long as they have Peyton playing for them. Romo hasn't showed that yet. Not to say Romo might be a really good QB but lets wait and see how he does this season.

Romo is a great QB? He has the potential to be as good as Manning? You people are nuts! If Tony Romo was on any team other than Dallas everyone would have already forgotten who he is. Peyton Manning is one of the best quarterbacks EVER, Tony Romo had a good second half of 2006. The Cowboys aren't even sold on him yet, if they were they would have extended his contract. Tony Romo may turn out to be a good quarterback, but to compare him to Peyton Manning, or call him great, is insane. Hell, I wouldn't even take him over Eli Manning

as much as i love my cowboys, id go with peyton on this one. Romo is an excellent QB and needs some time, but Manning is a freak of nature. He is a coach on the field. Whens its said and done he will be the best QB ever. I do have faith that Romo will lead my 'boys to a few superbowls in the future though.

No. Peyton is the top rated QB for good reason. IMHO Romo isn't even a top 10 QB. Here's a short list of better QBs.

Tom Brady
Drew Brees
Carson Palmer
Matt Hasselback
Phillip Rivers
Donovan McNabb
Ben Rothelisberger

Romo has potential but he has alot to prove before being considered and elite NFL QB

Romo isn't even a rookie and a fan like who loves him as much as you should know that. Also he only played 8 games it easy to play half of what everyone else plays and lead the NFL in YPA. Lastly are you out of your freakin mind. Peyton averages 16 games 4000+ yards, and 30- 40 tds a year and how on Earth do you come to the conclusion that the Colts got lucky. Their team stepped it up in the playoffs and won the Super Bowl deal with it. There is no way Romo can even be compared to Peyton Manning.

PS. Guys when he said setback he meant last year week 11

In this guy's defense, he was talking about last season when he said "Romo gave the colts their first setback of the season..." because the Cowboys beat the undefeated Colts in Dallas.

But, yeah, there's no comparison. Romo has played all of 6 games. COMPLETELY unproven. Ask this question again in 5 years.
