The answerer above is correct that elevated weight can be associated with PCOS, which results in reduced fertility. Recent studies have also confirmed that women who are overwieght prior to pregnancy have an increased risk for many poor pregnancy outcomes including preterm delivery, birth defects, and fetal loss.
Additionally, women who are extremely underweight often stop ovulating and menstruating and therefore have impaired fertility as well.

Some who are too skinny dont even get a period. So it makes sense on that end.
For those who are overweight, the extra weight puts numerous extra strains on the body, fertility is just one of them.
