which is better......... a laptop with the core2duo chip .....or the AMD turion64 chip ???. if they both had 2GB of ram which would you buy ??

the core 2 duo is a faster processor which uses less power than an AMD turion 64... If those are the only differences in the laptop I'd get the core 2 duo without hesitation.

Coreduo just because is better and faster. On the other hand, AMD is suffering and if AMD were to go out of business, Intel would just be a monopoly. So I say, your choice.

Since Intel is better than AMD, you're better off getting Intel Core 2 Duo.

AMD always performs better on the multimedia side of the software world! Intel builds their processors toward the business side of things! Good luck! ;-)=

I personally only buy the best which is AMD 64bit more stable more reliable.

I'd go with the Core2. But I'm fond of Intel so my opinion is biased.
