I'm not gonna put it in the format like you did because I would just be guessing, but I honestly think the Yankees will win the East even though they are my favorite team.
They lead ML in HR, AVG, W PCT., and a couple more stats since the All-Star Break.
Mike Mussina and Andy Pettitte have pulled it together each going over .500, Wang is their ace, and Clemens is Clemens. They have also recently got Chamberlain and Hughes.
Almost every starter on their team is batting .300 since the break, and the lowest AVG. is A-Rod, with .255, which can't be too much to worry about.
The Yankees are now only 4 games behind Boston, and with the way Boston is playing, it shouldn't take that long. Eric Gagne is doing HORRIBLE, and the bullpen is mid 4's ERA without him!
Although I think the Yankees will win the East, Boston has an okay shot at the wildcard.

Unfortunately your playoff scenario in the American League cannot happen even if those teams do get those playoff spots. A team cannot play another team from their own division in the 1st Round. Therefore, even if the Yankees had the best record and Boston got the Wild Card they couldn't play until the LCS. Sorry to bust your bubble.

Nope. Not happening. The Yankees will not win the AL East. They probably won't make the playoffs.
In the Central, I don't see the Brew Crew winning. They're too young, and the Cubs will take over down the stretch. As for the Wild Cards, I have the Tigers and the Braves.
