I loved Transformers. I had a few Barbies, but I played more with the ThunderCats and Transformers toys.
The banana slide was also cool.

Train sets, anything to do with trains., I grew up in a small town in SE. MN 234 FT from the train tracks, We used to measure it for something to do, like kids do in small towns before there were Video games, cell Phones and all the extra junk not as necessities on a daily basis, Really.
So we had made an 4 Ft x 8Ft. ping pong table in the basement one year, had a lot of fun, but a year later my older brother went into the marine corp, and i was 11 years old, with no other brothers or sisters around, just my friends Whom a lot of us all were into our different varities of trains, I had that big table , got extra track, found another piece of wood in garage that was 8 Ft. long and 2 Ft wide, attached it to the table, saw one of those train musiums as most history musiums always have some nice train set ups in them. This gave me the idea, and the local Tempo or gibsons always had Extra train cars, locomotives, and track and extras, So over the next 3 years i biult up 4 train sets, and another 2 sets worth of special cars and Enigines with plaster paris at the local hardwear store and some chicken wire, i made a nice sized mountains with paper wraps and a large tunnel for the rain to go through, i added in wireing, under the table many light poles and even buildings that lit up, horses, cows, people and made a small industrail sized village, people from around town wanted to come see this, So when they came over to visit my parents for coffee, and my dads ex- state trooper buddies came by for a couple cookies and a Grilled Cheeze sandwich or suc, they all wanted to see my set up of train stuff, I could turn off the basement lights and having my power cords plugged into 3 power boxes, i could run 2 trians same time and have the whole vilage area fully lit up, thus the whole dark room made you feel like you were out in the hills somewhere at night watching this.
So these are things we did in small town america to pass away some long summer or winter days.

My bolt action .22 rifle that my grandfather gave me when I was 4. I didn't get to use it often, only when one of my parents took me to my grandparent's house in the country where we set up targets in his back yard and would carefully aim at them and shoot. It was so fun and it taught me responsibility because the adults made sure I knew what damage the rifle would do if I did something bad with it. I knew at an early age that freedom comes with responsibility. The rifle my grandfather gave me when I was 4 taught me that, and I still have that rifle 40 years later.

"Speak 'n Math" it was this toy that gave you math problems and points for getting them correct but I found a way to draw out some strange effects on it and had more fun doing that then anything else lol :)
What was your favorite?

Hmmm...my Fisher Price dollhouse, along with my brother's Fisher Price city. Also, Tinkertoys, Shrinky Dinks, Cootie, Merlin, and my little record player that closed like a plastic suitcase. I played a lot of records on that thing! I loved it. Good memories.
