Up until a few years ago each Dunkin Donuts store made their own donuts at the store. You could look in from the register and see them being made. Today, the donuts are made at one store and then taken to other stores. Most owners of DD own a few of them and not just one.
In Chicagoland about 15 years ago they also served soup and rolls. Actually the soup was very good, believe it or not, but that item only lasted a few years.
They also serve those cold coffee drinks, which I never order. I guess I am old school. I like my coffee hot and black.

I feel bad you have never had a donut from Dunkin' Donuts!!! If you ever get a chance, their Bavarian Cream with iced coffee is the best!!

I see you already have enough answers to this question but as I was reading them I noticed the person referring to himself as joe to go said something about Krispy Kreme being better than Dunkin Donuts...NOT A CHANCE!! NO WAY!! He's crazy! Crazy I tell you! Good Day!

Yes, Hence the last part of their name...donuts. They also serve coffee,Hot Choc, and they make holes which are my faves. I think they do even more since I have left the states-maybe someone else can elaborate.

dunkin donuts is a circular let say pan cake with a small hole in the center....its called donuts...from the word dough(do)and nuts(nuts).dough is a bread or a pan,if you cook it, will expand and nuts is a nuts from peanuts....every donuts has peanuts.....
