Here in the GTA I have to get the sports package from the cable company to get my Redskins and steelers action from the NFL. They have the Centre Ice, MLB Extra Innings,College Football,and NFL Sunday Ticket. So I miss out on the 'free preview' of the NHL. I often wondered why I do not get a break on my $29.99 if everyone else gets free programming. Oh well what can ye do?

Lol Toronto Maple leafs! and they play their first game one September 18th Against The Edmonton Oilers, it's going to be a great game! I saw that Colorado plays their first on September 17th against the coyotes, good luck to them, i personally like The Avs and i think they have a great chance at a great start to their NHL Preseason, and i've been dying without hockey, its so hard to live without it, so im so excited for it to start!

The only game on the 13th is the Kings at the Ducks...
But to answer your question.... Pre-season starts up officially on Thursday September 13 at 10pm Eastern time! Cant wait!
PS. Regular season is also kicked off by the Ducks and Kings in London on the 29th!

My team is the Canadiens, but I think we're in for a long season. We lost a couple of guys, like Souray, and we didn't get any scorers like we needed. On the Avs, I'm curious to see how Stastny and Wolksi do - they're both very talented kids.

Whenever it DOES start it's going to be a tough row to hoe for the NHL in attracting an audience.
The NHL's popularity lately is on a par with Soccer here in America....no one really cares.

Oh yeah, except for my rambling, nonsensical anti-American neighbor who resides in the basement below me here...
he sounds like the typical hockey fan...likes to sound like he knows everything but knows nothing about anything....
oh, except hockey, a game of trifling importance of little or no use or consequence in the world of sports.....WOW!!
