You are going to be fine.
The antibiotic kill all bacteria, good and bad. With out the good bacteria, diarrhea happens.
Yogurt with live cultures is a good way to prevent it. Or acidophiles milk.

Ok firstly calm down. You haven't ODd im sure the medication isnt strong enough. Also, people who take the medication to the correct guidelines do also suffer the side effects, so thats not to worry about thats not what you get if you Over dosed its just a natural side effect of the medication.

I'm sure you doctor will reassure you of this :)

I'm sure you'll be fine. I have never heard of anyone overdosing on antibiotics and such. Yes, you may have gotten the diarrhea as a result but your liver should be fine. No reason to panic! Just wait until you hear back from your doctor before you take the next scheduled dose.

i had a staph infection in my blood and it coused a infection in the disk in my back and i was on some antibiotics for like ever, you didnt overdose. I will be fine and dont freak out. IF you would like to get rid of the diehareaha (sp?) then you should eat alot of yogurt. It has the live natrual yogurt clusters that keep you reguler. Trust me on that one. WHen you have a ton of stuff pumping into your arm you get the runs if its a side affect. If you dont like yogurt or get sick of it go to a supplements store, they have a pill that has all the stuff from yogurt that gets rid of it. Yogurt is the natrual thing thought-my doc told me that. but i personally liked the pill better.

Diarrhea is common with all antibiotics, no matter what the dosage is. The real problem, I think, is that you truly believe your doctor told you to take it twice daily, but your pharmacy label says once. If I were you, I'd call the pharmacy and have them pull the "hard copy" of the script and verify that it truly says to take it once daily.

OD on antibiotics is very uncommon - in fact I have NEVER heard of it.

If diarrhea is a side-effect, you are probably just experiencing that, or else you ate something and it's just a coincidence.

You'll be fine just call your doctors office again or wait for him to call you back and then just take what he says...but however...no matter what you "thought" you heard you should always go by what the bottle says and then if your unsure ask the doctor. Its better to underdose the overdose!!!!!
Good Luck!!!!

Calm down. You will be alright. Your doctor will certainly tell you the same.
