My computer crashed. I did a recovery procedure because I could not do a restore. All my data files are not on my computer. Is there any way to retrieve them?

Your data might already be overwritten. Take it to a data recovery company and they can do an analysis on your drive to see how much data is retrievable. I know CBL does a free diagnostic. http://www.cbltech.com/quote/evaluation.php

No. REcovery usually returns the computer to the last "restore point". If you used the Recover CD , then you have taken the computer back to that point where it was when you purchased it. Nothing remains from after that point.
