Good for you!!!. It means you have a life, besides Yahoo answers. But I have a reverse frustration.
I am on this site every day. Some times in AM, and PM. I do not have a life for personal reasons. I usually answer questions. It is very frustrating when people do not choose a best answer. I do have 450 best answers. But I still have loads of unresolved answers from one month to 4 months ago.
Not only that but the questions sounded so desperate. I cannot understand why they pose a question like they are dying for an answer. Then they just leave it without choosing a best answer.
Last month I sent emails to those that permit it on the site, and requested they choose a best answer so that I may take it off my watchlist; too no avail.
So It really has nothing to do with the fact that you have only the weekends to go on this site. But I do empathize with your frustration.
Sincerely,
Michele

I've come across the same problem too often than not, myself. When I ask a question I give it 3 days and if I'm not getting the answers I'm looking for, then I extend it a few days more.

For me, it depends on how many answers I get. If there are only a few, I will extend it. If I get a lot I will choose one within a few hours. If I get but maybe 2-3 answers I figure it's a crappy question and just delete it. I've gotten best answer to a question because I was the only one who answered it.

Depends on the category I posted the question.
In P&S, I wait at least 24 hours. P&S moves so fast after a few hours you can bet there will be no more new answers but work hours, sleep hours usually mean I don't usually get back to check it for about 24 hours (also possibility of people in different time zone answering)

No: Every single time I ask a question, the very first thing I do is to extend the expiration to open up the possibility of a best answer. In fact, I've had a few of my questions deleted be-cause they expired with too few answers, and I hadn't chosen a best answer.

Sometimes even though some ppl extend the questions, they didnt get enough answers. Its really depend on the question because somtimes some ppl ask a lot of questions, some ppl dont really want to answer it. Wait for like a week it u really can.

On maximum of my questions i visit attend till i'm getting the heads up digital mail. Others i visit extend for the completed 8 days. On my final question I have been given 30 solutions in as many minutes and 40+ by ability of the final day. It grow to be a extreme question. It grow to be one in all those, on the final day that I have been given the two ultimate solutions and it grow to be a puzzling selection. If basically one were a sprint i could desire to have performed favorites, yet they have been the two contacts, and the two had given me a celebrity.

I try to give it the full 6-7 days. It can be interested some of the last-minute answers you get.
Some of the most knee-jerk responses tend to be the first ones you get, and the later you go, the better the quality (imho)
