It would be almost impossible to make into a film due to the graphic nature of the story, too many bits would either have to be cut completely or edited so heavily it would not retain anything of the original story.

For those that haven't read it, it's a masterpiece and tells the tale of Renton, Sick Boy, Begbie et al, 10 years on from trainspotting. Very funny and a great read!

I think the characterisation is a bit weak compared to Trainspotting. Begbie in particular is just a caricature of a 'schemie radge', and Nikki seems to just be there to fill in holes in the storyline - she never really comes across as a real person, unlike Dianne, although she features much more frequently.

Danny Boyle and most of the cast of Trainspotting would like to make a sequel but Ewen Macgregor has resisted this after falling out with Boyle over the casting of 'The Beach' - Macgregor thought he should have been given DiCaprio's role. 'Porno' is filmable but the sequences which describe the making of 'Seven Rides for Seven Brothers' would have to be a lot less graphic than the novel!

Well, I liked it- especially because of what happens to the "Heroes" of Trainspotting, and namely Sickboy!
I am not aware of any plans to make it into a film, but I too believe that as a film it would stir much controversy and be extremely graphic
