I have had this problem before in my 1996 blazer and my problem was the fuel filter. The bad things is the locate of the filter. The filter is relatively cheap, but if you take it to a mechanic they will probably charge you for AT LEAST 1 hour shop time so your looking at about $100.00. Good luck

This could be a vacuum leak in the power brake unit. When you brake too hard, you dump enough vacuum to cause the engine to stall. I'm sure it could be any one of a number of other things but this one comes to my mind right offhand, as i've experienced this one myself. Good luck.

It sounds like either your fuel filter or air filter might be clogged if you dont have anybody to check it for you ,you might consider having a mechanic look at it . good luck .
