how to remove top off a whirlpool washingmachine. need to replace switch that is activated when lid is closed.

need to get to the electrical to change switch.

lift on the top part of the machine lid down.

It opens on a hinge in the rear.

There is a prop bar inside to hold it open.

The switch is held on with a phillips screw and it is a clip on wire.

should just lift up. there are two clips in the front look in the crack right there and you will see them
