I am taking the high road.. Im not insulting anyone. I am just proving a point. One month ago I wrote a comment about the yankees being on top of indians and tigers in one month. People called me an idiot.

As a huge Indians fan, I was seriously disappointed. Being in a slump prior to the series is no excuse but they have not hit well since July 23. Regardless of who the teams are, I would rather be in a funk prior to the All Star break then after it. If the Indians are not careful, they will be sitting home in October, shut out of the playoffs totally. I think the key is Hafner needs to get going some way, some how. And put someone else in RF, sit Trot Nixon. They had some nice prospects up for awhile then sent them back down. The Indians need to do what they did with Cliff Lee - do not worry about hurt feelings. If the prospect is better than the veteran, play the prospect, period. And the trade of Brandon Phillips just looks plain stupid now. I know Phillips was looking like a dud in Cleveland but maybe more time or a different approach could have changed history. Barfield can't hold Phillips jock strap.

The Yankees definetely came to play against the Indians. Even though the Indians were in a pretty big slump before the Yanks played them, it doesn't really matter too much.

Fred C. Dobbs, right now, the Indians should be worried about even making the playoffs. As theTigers will be winning the Central, and the Red Sox/Yanks will be winning the division/wildcard.

This #1 yankee hater of all time forever (no one hates the yankees as much as I do--not even close!) is still right here.

And I will be right HERE to remind YOU when the yankees miss the play-offs (or lose in the 1st round--which will happen IF they do indeed make the play-offs).

And believe me, I will rub it in YOUR face as bad (if not worse) than you are doing right now.

So, go ahead and enjoy your "little" victory over The Indains. It wont last long.

Its funny reading through these answers and seeing how much these people hate the Yankees for no other reason then they are always awesome. So blinded by hatred that they can't even give credit where credit is due.

If anyone honestly thought the Yankees weren't going to be in the thick of things coming down the stretch then they don't have a clue about baseball. I know everyone wanted to believe the Yanks were dead, but with that line up that's just ridiculous.

Well, they will always have the memories of their 22-0 win over the Yanks a few years back. That was THEIR World Series victory. Face it, the Indians were another "cupcake" for the Yankees.

Why is that Tiger, Red Sox, White Sox & Indians fans say the Yankees suck & when the Yankees beat your teams, you reply that we Yankee fans are rubbing it in. I recall when the Tiger fans were talking trash a few weeks ago about how they will win the World Series & the Yankees suck & won't make the play-offs, well looks like the Yankees are right back in the thick of the pennant race & are now ahead for the wild card team. I realize it ain't over but if you Yankees haters keep talking trash, we will just have to wait & see. Tigers do suck.

Arod's an excellent participant, yet particularly the guy has not something yet cobwebs interior the attic. And the ball newborn isn't plenty smarter apparently. That offered me a reliable snort in spite of the shown fact that, so I savour his blunder. I mean the ball boy. Arod did not make me snort, he made me curse out the television and throw a grimy sock around the room in disgust.

Well, The Tribe is going to use an old Indian trick of surprise attack on the Yankees in the playoffs. Losing all six games to them so far is just strategy. Remember Little Big Horn?

wow you sure showed us why everyone except bandwagon fans and people in NY hate Yankees fans.

I don't know why you are so cocky, it's not like you played in the game or anything, we are classier fans and were brought up better than you I guess because we don't talk trash everytime we get a win.

I guess if we had your payroll we could buy our way into the playoffs every year too, but I would rather lose honestly than win by having an advantage, which is kind of funny because Yankees fans criticized Bonds for having an unfair advantage, gotta love hypocrites.

Just remember those 3 games won't mean anything if you don't make it into the playoffs. HA
