Sorry but you really need to buy the hardware. And maybe even James Bond can not do it.

Hello; Part of what eveyone is saying here is true, but I think they're lacking in imagination! If there's plenty of room on your hard drive, and you've got the software that would understand DVD format, read it & convert it to VCD format, you could put it onto the hard drive and see it there... then convert it to video cd (vcd), but on CD you'd be relegated to 700Mb, where a DVD has about five to six times that information in it... so, needless to say; you'll be degrading the quality some, but it would still be quite watchable! Try this; go to www.download.com to find some free (or free to try) programs for this task.

Remember, this will quickly fill up your hard drive, unless you erase the dvd off it, once you've burnt it! The others are also correct in that it's pretty cheap to buy a DVD/CD burner these days! www.tigerdirect.com for that!

To all the others answering this; C'mon! where'e your imagination!?

I hope this has helped!;
Marcos

That's sort of like asking if you can tape television shows without a VCR, or take photos without a camera. If you could burn DVDs without a DVD burner, then why do you think they would bother to make DVD burners?? =D

Your only other option is to try fire, dear. Short of that, it's time for you to get a DVD burner. =)

haven't you people ever thought about emulation?
its not technically burning, but it is as close as you can get.
you can use a program like Alcohol120 to create a Virtual DVD ROM on your computer. The software can then mount an ISO that you made with nero or a similar program. You cannot actually 'burn' the disc, but if the was something that you need to run from an ISO, that is a solution and as close as you can get.

No you NEED a DVD BURNER to burn DVDs
No other piece of equipment has the relevant lasers and tecnology to do the job.

But an External USB2 model if you don't want to open the PC or if it is a laptop.

Unfortunately there's no way! May be you can use an external drive. But again the drive should be a DVD-RW drive....

No tricks here ;)

Hi!

Nope. You can't. Sorry! DVDs and CDs differ as hardware.

Good luck!
