The only real secrets that we have are the ways that we identify one another. These methods of recognition go back to the medieval masonic guilds and even before, when stone masons would travel in foreign countries, work, and receive masters pay. In order to prove to other masons that they were thus trained, they would need a way to identify themselves. Rather than depend on literacy, which was often non-existent in working classes, they had certain words and signs (such as handshakes) to identify one another.
Modern freemasonry identifies each other much in the same way. Nowadays, we will wear certain jewels and clothing, or perhaps have a sticker on our car and even carry membership cards, but none of that is substitute for the traditional "secrets" or ways of recognition that we have.
Those are the only real secrets. Because I swore an oath never to reveal them, I will not tell you what they are here, but even those "secrets" are widely available on the internet. The only problem that you will face there is that there are many people who make claims about Freemasonry that are not true.
Does that make sense? If you have any other questions about Freemasonry, please feel free to ask.

Freemasonry is an oath bound fraternal order of men which derives from the medieval fraternity of Freemasonry. We adhere to many of the Ancient Charges, laws, customs and legends of operative Freemasonry. We are loyal to the civilian government under which we exist. We inculcate moral and social virtues by symbolic application of the operative stonemasons' working tools and by allegories, lectures and charges. Freemasonry obligates its members to obey the principals of brotherly love, equality, mutual aid, secrecy, and confidence. We have secret modes of recognition that permit members to recognize each other as brothers. We require a through examination into the mental, moral and physical qualifications of a petitioner and we admit men into the Fraternity by secret ceremonies based in part on legends of the Craft.
Once a man has decided to apply for membership he fills out a petition signed by 2 members of the Lodge he desires to join. He gives the petition to one of the members along with the required initiation fee. The petition is read at the Lodges next stated meeting when the Worshipful Master will appoint an investigating committee who will interview the petitioner in person. the investigating committee will report back to Lodge at the following stated meeting when the members present will vote to accept or reject the petitioner. Once the petitioner is accepted he is given the three degrees of Entered Apprentice, Fellow Craft and the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason. There are certain requirements a candidate must meet before proceeding from one degree to the next.
One must obtain the Sublime Degree of a Master Mason before he can wear any Masonic jewelry.
One must have a Belief in a Supreme Being.
The tenets of the Masonic Fraternity are " Brotherly Love, Relief and Truth. "
The Masonic Fraternity like all other Fraternal Organizations such as the Moose, Eagles, Elks, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, etc. are not Secret Societies but rather Societies With Secrets.
suggest if you are a man of legal age and are interested in pursuing interest in the Masonic Fraternity you contact a man whom you know to be a Mason for further information and an application. If no local Masonic Lodge is available then you should contact the Grand Lodge for the State in which you reside as the Grand Lodge Officers will be happy to aid in your request.
If you are under legal age suggest you inquire about the DeMolay Organization.
Please contact the Masonic Fraternity directly as there are many people who are answering questions who do not always have the correct information.

This depends on who you ask.
If you ask Freemasons, there are no secrets. All of the teachings, rituals, tokens etc are widely availble on the internet and in bookstores everywhere. Many lodges actually publish the books online for anyone to read.
If you ask Anti-masons, there are all sorts of conspiracy, satanic, new world order, mind control, alien invasion, etc secrets. None of these are true, but some do make for fun reading and/or good movies.

Supposedly, they have the secrets to why the United States of America was really founded and the bloodline of Jesus Christ (the Holy Grail). They keep it secret because the world is not yet ready to learn the truths, which I must agree with.
Christianity is not stable enough to learn that Christ was married and a mortal man, born from two mortal parents and not the son of God. That he had children and his bloodline is still alive today. I think it would deal a serious blow to peoples faith that the religion as a whole might not recover from and even though I am not a Christian, I would not wish that this religion, which has brought a lot of comfort to a lot of people, to fail.

That they have no secrets other than they are not antedeluvian, do not possess arcane knowledge, and look bloody stupid prancing about in little aprons with their trouser legs rolled up. they do not go back much before george washington
Maboot : the signs do not `go back` so far as freemasons are concerned, they were wholesale nicked to give a veneer of autheticity to a dud club of elitist inadequetes. the freemasons in the uk are known as the `mafia of the mediocre` or the `dibdibdibs` you know the secret sign `dib dib dib` answered with `dob dob dob`? although admittedly there is an underlying decency and honesty in the cubscouts you would find sadly missing in your little group

1st Secret Revealed : Dedicated to Edward L. King (Reptile-at-Large) (who, were it not for this unique individual, this information would never have come to light)
"While I was working on Venice Beach, I was approached by a young girl, roughly the age of 19. She was a street girl, like a punk, but she had this very nice charm about her. She was a little chubby, and very cheerful. Anyways, she saw my Mason books on the booth and asked about them. We started a conversation and before long she was telling me about her grandfather and how he was a really high-up Mason. She told me that she, herself had escaped from a "drug-house" run by members of the Golden Dawn and Masons out of Pasadena or somewhere. She talked about how she now rescues these youngsters from these places. She described in detail to me, how these young kids were kidnapped or lured there with drugs, and they were kept at these places against their will. They are kept, she said, in a drugged-out state, usually on heroin or speed and deprived of food and nourishment until they agree to do things for more drugs. Then they are taken out and prostituted by these fellows in the Mason and Golden Dawn groups. This was not the most fascinating part, though, because I had heard of several stories of related incidents over the years, through my studies, but what did surprise me was when she told me that her Grandfather kept a book that she once peeked into. It was with his Masonic possessions in a box in the attic. She said it was a "Spiritual Family" chart that showed the "magical children" from secret masonic "spiritual marriages". She told me that she learned that these marriages were often kept secret from the wives of these Masons. (I wonder what they would think if they knew). These masons were apparantly secretly married to women members of the golden dawn etc. who were selected from higher masonic authorities. I have never heard of this before this girl told me and I doubt many others have either, but this incident happened and I don't have any reason not to believe her. We talked about many things and she seemd to have a good handle on reality". "
I have many more secrets to expose, but I don't feel "inclined" at this time to do so, but I'm sure with a little encouragement from people like Mr. Edward L. King Reptile, I'm sure I could sit down and write a few more for you all. If you write him and thank him for making available the secrets he already has, and let him know that you appreciate it, i'm sure he will pester me some more and I will continue to reveal their "dirty little secrets". It should be written as follows : "Dear King Edward, may I apply to you, oh lord, ruler of our kingdom, for permission to learn more masonic secrets and permission to publish those secrets on the internet for millions to view, without who's permission by your highness, I would be left to fend for my own conscience in the vast wilderness of delusional masonic propaganda thou has left for us pitiful servants, oh master" - or something to that effect...well, you get the point..just be nice, remember, reptiles have feelings too, ...or do they?
