wow..... this is one of the best questions youve ever asked(and i ever answered)
=)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
For me a shoe represents a person's willpower to move on..
so an old shoe belongs to someone who has been tested with many adversities, worn out but never gave up...
as a farmer's rough hands show it's hard work...
an old shoe shows the many miles a traveler has treked..
that Life is a voyage, a journey, an adventure...
Some people might hope for a "Fairytale" ending from Cinderella's glass slippers..
but all of us have our own shoes to fit in...
and we all live in a real world where our strength(physical, mental, emotional and spiritual) will always be tested.
We are wearing shoes of our own.. we may never be on other people's shoes..
so let's walk in to this life with more than what we hope for..
but more of what we Life for.....
a Life we all intend to live....
and that someday our old shoes will inspire others to do just the same.

Hi and good morning....Remembering the memories when I use to wear them. I had found a pair of old shoes not too long ago in the attic of my moms house when we were cleaning. It's funny that you should ask this question. They were an old pair of leather 'penny loafers' with the pennies still in the little insert...lol. The pennies had tarnished of course through the many years they had been in my shoes but they were brand new pennies when I bought the shoes about 35 years ago. The leather was worn in places just like myself in age...lol. and I remember the last time I had worn those old shoes back in high school. Times were different back in those days, society has changed, my town had changed through the yrs. I remember the 'outdoor theaters' back then and I probably wore those same shoes. I was a teenager back then and not a care in the world. My life was just beginning. Now I have a family and grand kids and I look back at those old shoes and remember the 'happy times' when I was a kid. Life seemed simple then. Have a wonderful day!

From the perspective that this is someone else's shoe, it would depend on what kind of shoe it was. An athlete's shoe? An indoor, soft comfortable shoe? A moccasin? A sexy spike heel? I'd wonder about the person who had worn it, & why it was lost, or discarded. A "walking" shoe would intrigue me most. What journeys, what places that shoe had travelled; what experiences the person had in that old, worn shoe.
If it were mine--I'd have memories. I might laugh at having worn a type of shoe I'd never wear again, & why I hadn't just tossed it out. But even a worn, walking shoe--I'd look for the other & think what mileage it might still have on it.

Many years ago I brought a pink pair of shoes, of which shop I cannot remember! They were nothing special at the time, with no meaning at all.
But ever since I have worn these shoes - In the Dead Sea of Israel, the sunny beaches of Spain, up the Rock of Gibraltar and the Sahara Desert. They have carried me through a journey of life and experience and when wearing them I feel confident. I met a very special person too, whilst wearing these shoes - of which I could never be happier about.
But one day I was sorting through my shoes and I couldn't help but leave this pair to the left of me and the remaining to the right of me. There's something different about them, I don't see a pair of shoes .. I SEE MEMORIES and EXPERIENCE .. I dread the day when they can
no longer fit! :-(
Thank you..

A well made article that we used to wear that lasted about a year with it's real leather and stiching by hand. Compared to today's shoes and the way they are made which only last a few months at best.

The results of 63 years of life on this planet, and the expectation of 63 more years of life either on this planet or the next. Old shoes get worn out, but they never lose their sole(soul).

I see myself getting older. I was 20 when i bought this pair and look how fast time pass. All worn out, just like myself. But the good thing is, its time to shop for a new pair! A new lease of life!! Yeah.

I see a tired old friend, who has accompanied me on a part of my journey through life and I am reminded of their short life span. It also means I have been busy, even although at times I didn't have the time to ponder for a moment and think of all the things I've done. They are a reminder!
