Depends. If Portis is healthy this year, then the team getting Rivers is getting screwed. That trade basically amounts to Manning for Rivers. So unless Westbrook really out plays Portis by a mile, then I'd say the team getting Manning wins that trade by a landslide. That said, Portis is injury prone and has a great backup. Personally, I wouldn't take the chance, though. Who will your backup be at QB, anyway, if you lose Manning AND Pennington. That might make a difference in whether or not the trade would help.

No. Peyton Manning is better than Phillip Rivers by a long shot. Brian Westbrook is good as is Larry Fitgerald but not at the cost of Portis, Cotchery, and a second QB. I dont know what your team looks like but dont take this deal.

I think it's closer than people are making it seem, but I still would not take it.
You really do not want to give up Peyton unless youre getting something huge in return. I like Rivers as a prospect, but thats just it - he is only a prospect at this point. He has a lot to prove. Plus, you would also be shipping your backup qb option. Obviously Fitzgerald is better than cotchery, and I would definitely take B. West over Portis, but the differences are not the risk of giving up Manning.

Rodgers is better than Brady stats-wise. Brady and the Pats are not at the form they were a few years ago Rice is slightly better Weleker (only if Favre comes back, which he probably will) MJD is better than Benson (but only by a little, and the Bengals' pass attack may open things up a little more for Benson; Jones-Drew will also get more carries than Benson will so he is a big improvement in PPR leagues) The trade is definitely fair, but the person giving up Rodgers isn't very smart

NO. In a trade, never include Peyton Manning unless you're getting Tom Brady in return. As far as the part where Clinton Portis and Brian Westbrook are involved, if you're getting westbrook, you're dealing with a rookie, so take it. Same deal with Fitzgerald and Cotchery.

your giving up depth and the best qb in the game. If you are really weak at WR this might be a good deal. Its not a glaring mistake, but i wouldn't do it.
