They have a batsman in Pieterson who just might have been able to do it----Botham would have given it a go----he did it against Australia

In the history of cricket no team has won a test match scoring more than 450 runs in the 4th innings. Hence Michael Vaughn may have thought that if England try for a win, they will loose the match and England will loose the series 2-0.

He may have thought that instead of loosing 2-0, it is better to loose 1-0

they didnt go out and attempt to score runs because if they were to lose the series 2-0 they would have lost out on alot of money.
that is why they didnt do what u said because it is about the money now a days

if they did theyd lose tons of wickets and lose 2-0. thats just stupid, it means tons of people will get fired. so if they at least draw (1-0), it's not as bad as 2-0. besides theyve given up pretty much anyway, you can tell
