16 years Republic of Macedonia is have a problem with Greece and we must to change our name in FYROM...is stupid do you think

Well, it so happens that in Greece we have a province that we call Macedonia and we think that no other country should use this name.
Also we do not like people that are not Greek to call themselves Macedonians.
It pisses the hell out of us since we believe that Macedonians were Greeks. just like Athenians and Spartans.
See it is not that stupid after all.

One of the main reasons is that not only does the FYROM claim the name Macedonia, it also lays claim to the heritage of Alexander the Great- who is famous for spreading Hellenism (Greek culture) which has nothing to do with today's FYROM. The name FYROM is stupid, but the name Macedonia is viewed as a theft of Greek heritage- the ancient republic it is taken from was Greek speaking and ruled from what it is today Greece.

Exactly, recently since 16 years the topic of Macedonia came out, everybody till then, and now ,knows that Macedonia is greek...So, are we talking about a topic which appeared now?

Oh puhleeeze!The name is not the basic problem. Why do you try to claim our history? You have to realize that without the support and investments of Greeks to your country, you would all be starving at the moment.
