Totally nullifies anything else they stand for. I think if you can't stand for basic, equal, human rights for all, I really can't take you seriously about taxes, healthcare or anything else.

Basic human rights are the foundation. If one cannot discern what those are, it just goes on to show how shallow all their beliefs can be.

Yes, but not everyone here in America sees gay issues as "basic human rights". I couldn't stand for a candidate that would not support gay rights. I agree with you 100 percent.

It also depends on the candidate too. I mean do you honestly expect a republican to try and support gay rights, while also getting through primaries and on the ballot? The candidates are playing the field of voters. They know most of them don't support gay rights, so guess what? They're not going to support it just for the vote.

A person's vote should be based of off what a candidate does support. not what one does NOT support. This country is dumb, because people don't even care about the important issues all the time, like education and health care. It's more important to some that we don't have rights.

What bothers me even more is the fact that gay marriage is NOT going to hurt anything. People are ridiculous, thinking that the world is going to end when we do. It's all about the important issues...

Well yeah, because Human Rights are everything. So if they aren't in support of that then they are really just money hungry... Which means they'll find a way to send troops to war for no real reason, but to make sure they make more money from oil. Wait don't we already have that?
