every time i go back to work on my model railway the door bell rings. i go to check and there is no one there. i sit down again and off it goes. one day i opened the door and my bin spilled all over the payment because it seemed to have got caught up with a bit of string on my door handle. i have asked the kids on the street and they said they will look out for whoever it is , which was rather nice of them

Nearly the same thing has happened to me. Some time ago my significant other and I got into a shouting match.Well, I had finally had enough and told her to disappear or go fly a kite.I haven't seen her since. However,my doorbell will ring,I answer, and there is no one there! That has happened many times. Yesterday the doorbell rang,I answered,opened the door,my garbage can(bin) catapulted through the door and knocked me down,entangling me in yards and yards of kite string.I went outside and there was no one around.My neighbor was in his yard and I asked him if he had seen anything.He said no but thought he knew what might have happened.He said he had heard Sarah and I screaming at one another and that I had said,"Why don't you disappear and go fly a kite!" Well,she did!

i put on a new door bell switch because sthe door bell wont shut off but even with the new one it keeps ringing until i remore one of the wires why? i need help

Those kids are pulling you leg and since they all know that you have a problem, they will keep ringing the bell. Get a paintball gun and light their tails up.

its low voltage take it off , if it rings then its a prank because now they got to put the wires together to work. anyone who needs you can knock.

There is a short in the wiring. Call an electrician to fix it for you. OR disconnect it and put a sign on your door that says, "PLEASE KNOCK".
