ive found my answer and for those who wnat to know more read on or go to harry potters family tree on wikipedia.

Cadmus was the middle of the three Peverell Brothers. According to The Tales of Beedle the Bard, he received the Resurrection Stone (one of the deathly hallows) from Death, although Dumbledore believes it more likely that he created the stone himself. According to The Tales of Beedle the Bard, he, using the stone, resurrected the girl he had once hoped to marry, who untimely died. But though she had returned to the mortal world, she did not truly belong there and suffered. Driven mad by this, he killed himself, to truly join her. He is also an ancestor of the Gaunt family and therefore an ancestor of Lord Voldemort, which makes him and Harry Potter, a descendant of Ignotus Peverell, distantly related.

Technically they would be related in some far off blood-line. Because suppose Voldemort's ancestors (Slytherin & the Gaunt's) were from 1 of the Peverell brothers. Then, Harry and his ancestors are from Ignotus. That would make them (Harry and Voldemort) cousins, but way down the line. Ignotus would be Voldemort's Great-great-(insert however many more "greats" you would need)- Uncle

Yes, Harry Potter and Voldemort are related. All pure blood wizarding families are related in some form or fashion. You can check out the family tree on wikipedia.

Well, Marvolo says that it's a family heirloom, but that doesn't mean that it originated in his family. Remember, the invisibility cloak was the only deathly hallow that was passed down from son to son its entire lifespan. The stone and wand were both stolen multiple times, thus pretty much ensuring that it didn't end up back in its original bloodline. I would also venture a guess and say that the ring was intended to hide the stone after it had been stolen a few times so that it could remain in the family of the last person who had stolen it.

Could be - but it was pointed out that most of the wizarding families had intermarried at one time or another, so most everyone was related to someone else, in one way or another.

You explained it exactly as I thought(probably couldn't have phrased it as well though), my second time reading it I realized this.

They are very very distantly related then.

yes, they are both desendants of the pervels. or so it seams. well we know that harry desended from the third pervel brother, but Marvalo Gaunt claimed, in the sixth book, to dbe a desendant of the secon pervel brother, and Voldemort is Pervel's grandson. so i believe they are but Marvolo might have been lying but he had too much pride to lie about that.

HE could very likely be, since he is distantly related to the peverell brothers, and the peverell brothers are pretty much distantly related to everyone.

So yes, they are distantly related.
