From what you explain, it sounds like one of 2 things you have let your subscription lapse, and these are simple warnings to allow you to get you previous service up to date before it lapses. Or, you have let it lapse and they are trying to get you to renew before they play there little game of telling you that you have a virus and you need to renew your service before they will remove it.
You will find that in either case dealing with there tech support is a major pain because as of 2 years ago they moved all there support to INDIA and you are not dealing with US tech support. You will probrbly have to talk to 3 or 4 before you can understand one, and the only way to fix the problem is to have someone knowledgable walk you through REGEDIT to remove all of McAfee from your Registry.
This problem is not to single out McAfee it is sad that many are opting to use foregin services at literally no cost to the companies so they can make more money.
Believe me I am not picking on McAfee it is just sad they have all turned there back on all US consumers to make more money.
