One of you pick the first from your list, and the other picks the middle name? I'm afraid I think your wife trumps you though-- she's going through a lot more to have this baby.

That said, I like your list better. LOL
River's not bad. Dali? As in Salvadore? Eew.

You seem to like Irish names, and I do too. But, I'd advise against naming the kid OBVIOUSLY after someone. I love John Lennon too, but you know... be kind.

Demspey just sucks, I have to say. Finnegan? :(

Connor, Cole, Seamus, Chase, Jude, Farrell, Keegan, Mason, Dylan (spelled this way), Riley (spelled this way), Spencer I all like.

Dylan Brett Johnson? Not bad. Riley Griffen? Or even Griffen Riley?

Other names to consider... Clint, Jack, Tristan, Casey. "Dylan Casey"-- I love this.

Are you set as far as girls' names? Those ultrasounds aren't 100% accurate, you know...

My husband and I decided to each pick one name that we loved. (we didn't know if it was a boy or girl, so he had first name for a girl, I had first name for a boy, and vice versa for middle names). We each had to be able to tolerate the others choice. Since you know it's a boy, you could just see which way the names you pick sound best together, or if you are planning on more children in the future, you could switch off who gets the first name (flip a coin).

From your list I think some nice combinations would be
Brett Keegan or Brett Xavier
Cole Griffen or Griffen Kai
Liam River (I don't care for River as a first name)
Spencer Dali (although I'm not crazy about Dali, but I'm not sure I'm pronouncing it correctly.)
I also love Gavin Cole or Jude Reily (just from your names).
Good luck with choosing a name, and remember you have to compormise!

Try combining them into first and middle names. I personally don't really care for any of the names but here's what I do like:

Tyler Liam Johnson
Liam Tyler Johnson
Ian Brett Johnson
Brett Ian Johnson
Keegan River Johnson
Spencer Griffen Johnson

Good luck and congrats ♥

Out of hers I would go with either River (which is a little different, which is what you are going for I am seeing) or Brett. From your list I really like Gavin, Connor, Cole, Spencer, and Keegan. So why don't you guys combine? One pick the first and one pick the middle so you each can have one you like? Connor River, Brett Cole. (Really liking the Brett Cole Johnson in my head right now). Good luck and congrats! :)

I love almost every name that you both chose. Our oldest is named Chase and our 3rd born is Mason (we have a Dallas too, he's our youngest). We also considered Brett and Cole as well. We couldn't agree on a name at all for our youngest. In fact, he wasn't even named until the day we were leaving the hospital. Because we didn't like each others name choices, while my husband was at home with the other kids, I went through my baby name book and chose one name from each letter of the alphabet that neither one of us had chosen before. I read the names to him over the phone and we finally actually agreed on a couple of names. You could both do that privately and then compare your lists to see if you come up with the same name. Pick that one and then you can give your child 2 middle names if you both want to pick a name from your original lists. Dallas has his father's middle name for his middle name so he's Dallas Christopher.

One name we both loved but can't use because of our last name is Rhys (pronounced Reese). I also love the names Creed and Justice...and if we ever have another one, we'll most likely use one or both of those.

Best wishes!

My advice is that you pick a name that is commonly used, or at least use something that people are familiar with so that your baby doesn't have to spell his/her name to everyone who says, "That's a funny name".

For example, Griffen, Lennon, Riely, Dali, Finnegan, Kai, and Leto are guaranteed to make people say, "What was that again? How do you spell it?". Young kids want nothing more than to fit in with their friends, and odd or unusual names will make them feel like they stick out.
