if they do...or even an advanced communication device....we would know if they were still ALIVE !!! If we can communicate with probes outside the solar system...why can't we use that technology here at home ?????

My understanding is that GPS works off of satellites. Pretty tough to have line of sight with those satellites from 1500 feet underground. However, several companies are working on devices that will allow two-way communication from underground using ULF (ultra-low frequency) radio waves. MSHA has already mandated that all mines will have to have these devices as soon as they become comercially available.

No. GPS signals are relatively weak in strength. Although they work great in the outdoors, they don't pass through most buildings or tunnels and would never make it underground.

I sure hope that situation in Utah comes out positive!

En general estoy bastante desorientada pero me gusta hacer deportes, buscado en los sitios web he encontrado un GPS especial para mí, la verdad es que además del buen precio el reloj con GPS me ha impresionada por la multitud de cosas que lleva y además funciona perfecto, una excelente compra sin duda.

i doubt they would, cuz they get blocked by just buildings, i found that when i was going around the high rise parts of london
