After all it would have saved on a lot of hip and knee ops.

Poor...poor...Penfold,
He's as confused as can be,
No...more...Penfold,
Let me bend down and help thee!

The...wheel...did evolve,
From rolling stones, gathered unmossed,
There's none unresolved
And no original thought,

You think beer was engineered?
aux contre, mon fre're,
As was Brie and Gruyere?
It set in and puddle...fermant'ared

Hail...hail...Penfold,
He searches for jewels in the bin,
All...hail...Penfold,
He'll muddle through ...with all the help...from you!

Nature evolved a much more efficient leg which can go through uneven terrian of different texture. Even our space robots for lunar and martian exploration use legs instead of wheels. Wheels are useful for fast and efficient travel on level roads.

Nature evolved human beings who in turn evolved wheels.

u know what? i asked the same question (to myself) and drew a animal which had an axis and piston-like muscles and bony wheels, but i came to the conclusion that a wheel has irreducible complexity, and that it couldn't have evolved under other functions, like the flagellum or the eye

I wouldn't mind the terrain problems.
I would be thankful that I can stop hearing news about who freaking did or did not make it to the top of Mt. Everest.
(Just a wee mental pet peeve I have)
It would be cool to add NOS and spinners.

Tire flat? Just get someone to kneel down and blow.

Because nature hadn't invented the pump to pump the tyre up.

It would have been stupid to evolve the wheel as the tyre would be flat all the time.

Geezz...it is so obvious!!!

LoL! I expect there would be hub and axle replacement ops instead...

But think, wheels before engines could only go as fast as legs could run whilst pulling them! ie. wheels still need propulsion... Legs are still faster (horses, donkeys, people)...

Nature managed the motor before we did, with the ATP-synthase enzyme :D

I will tell Moley that you are whining about your exercise wheel again, and she'll take it away.
