i know that storms provide us water but what else?

They can provide us with energy (electricity) from both wind and lightning. They provide us with loads of timber, from fallen trees. On the downside, they provide us with big repair bills, damaged property, power cuts, loss of communications, injury and death.

When there is a storm there is lightning. Lightning converts nitrogen gas into nitrates which is converted later into nitrites for the plant to use to make amino acids
