The play moves sooooooooo slow, there are commercials on average every two minutes -- the worst part is that the players make a massive deal just because they move the ball ahead a few feet, especially when they all start dancing around like idiots.

Oh yeah. ANd if you weigh 400 pounds, you're not an athlete, you're just fat.

Boring as compared to what?

Soccer - Kicking a ball around an enormous field for a few hours with an average of 3 total goals per game.

Baseball - An average of 45 seconds between pitches and 2 minutes of commercials every 3 outs or every pitching change.

Basketball - Squeak, squeak, squeak, two points. Squeak, squeak, squeak, two points. He touched me - FOUL! Bounce, bounce, hold ball, bounce, bounce, hold ball, bounce, bounce, one point. Last 5 minutes of the game = 30 minutes real time.

The heaviest NFL player isn't even 400 lbs, and the average offensive lineman is about 300 and average player is about 245 . Given their height, strength, and conditioning I wouldn't say they are fat.

As to moving the ball a few feet, you try carrying a football a few feet through 11 world-class athletes trying to stop you. You probably wouldn't feel like dancing too much.

Actually, you do have one good point. There are far too many commercials in NCAA and NFL games. I just went to the restroom during the commercial after the touchdown, what am I to do during the commercial after the kickoff?

The only thing in the world more boring than NFL football are sports radio people discussing their teams for hours on end. I don't understand why so many people think the sport is so great. The game is at best stupid. The purveyors of the NFL clearly subscribe to the notion that no one has ever gone broke by underestimating the intelligence of the American public. That said, NFL fans get what they deserve--too bad there are so darn many of them.

Either baseball or golf. Throw a ball miss the ball, hit the ball catch the ball.
Hit the ball, get in car go after ball. Hit ball again hope it goes in, quiet clap when it does. BORING!
I like football but it can be boring. Hockey is still the best

Golf, tennis, baseball, soccer...

Yes NFL is a bit overrated...but it's better than watching a bunch guys trying to hit a ball into a hole...or hit a ball and run around in circles....or hit a ball at someone and then when it comes back hit it again....soccer would be ok if it was full contact....but you get red carded for tripping someone.

football is a very complicated sport and only true athletes can play it, the only way to enjoy it is you know whats going on, and also 400 pound linemen have the hardest and most complicated job on the field and they work very hard at it.
