It would look just the same as it does now, because humankind landed there and promptly lost interest, ergo NASA's funding was cut and they were told to concentrate on unmanned deep space probes and build the shuttle and ISS.
Had NASA been funded continuously as they had hoped, we'd have lunar bases there by now and men would have landed on Mars. Plans were in place for all those things, and Apollo was largely designed and built as the start of an ongoing manned space presence. Apollo could have been done more cheaply had it always been intended to be a one-off goal of landing a man on the Moon and stopping with that. As it was all the forward planning went for nothing because the taxpayers who funded Apollo decided that landing on the Moon to show off WAS the ultimate goal, and then once that was achieved promptly lost interest and withdrew support for continued funding.

Exactly the same as it is now, since Americans really **DID** land there in 1969, and 1970, and 1971, and 1972.

Not nearly as peaceful if by Humankind you mean women as well; they would be complaining about the lack of mobile signal and getting Mankind to build extensions for Babykind(s)
