If a person with an STD marries a person without an STD and they have sex, won't they both end up having the STD? How would the girl get pregnant without contracting the STD? These are just a few questions that came out of nowhere and I really don't understand or know the answers to them. Can someone explain?

Most STDs are curable and the ones that aren't are manageable. A person with Herpes for instance will never be cured but can have an active sex life and children if precautions are used. Meaning, if they are trying to get pregnant they have to wait until such a time when there is not an active flare up of the disease. There will always be the risk of contracting the disease. There are people with HIV that have given birth to children who do not have the disease so anything is possible. Most responsible adults will consult with their doctors to find out the safest course to follow.

It really depends on what the STD is. If its herpes. You can be in a relationship and bare children without contracting the disease. You would just have to ensure that you are not active during flare ups and ensure that you sanitize the toilets very well after each use when your partner has flare ups. It would be best to talk to your OB/GYN or Family Practioner. He/She would be able to give you specific answers to your questions. Peace and Blessings.

If they had a bunch of unprotected sex then yes, they would both get the STD and since you can't get pregnant, usually, with a condom on, then yes, the STD would pass during sex.. Unless you did a artifical insemination thing. Guess you have to choose between love or a clean genitalia.

yes it is possible for the person without the std to contract the std even whiles using protection. usually in such situations they consult there doctor to find out means of protection, and ways to have sex

there are different methods of getting pregnant. think of families that struggle with pregnancies they go for "artificial insemination" whereby the sperm is like injected into the ovary and placed back into the womb. . .

It depends on what kind of STD it is. Some are curable and some are not. You need to specify the STD for me to answer your question.

There are certain Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD) like Gonorhea,Syphilis, etc./ can be treated and cured. A person having such diseases which can be treated and cured has no problem in getting married.

Sexually transmitted disease is just that. It doesn't discriminate as to whether you are married or gay or what have you. It's still a disease and it can be passed on to an unborn child. A girl can pregnant, but she will still contract the disease and pass it on to her child.
