Tyrantt315, you manage to keep a fairly steady tempo throughout the piece with only a couple of small note problems.

Whatever talent you have may have been hidden by the choice of music you played, rather uninteresting and repetitive. After all the music is essentially an ostinato bass with a little right hand chord and melody work at times - not a real challenge or display piece to compare with a Mozart, Beethoven or Chopin work.

Use your time and effort to work up a real classical piece of music to display your technique and musicianship. Then you will be able to get a proper assessment of your talent.

Good luck.

Good job :-)

A couple of suggestions to make it even better. First, when you've got a left hand part that's that repetitive, you want to make sure that it's not overpowering your right hand melody. I felt that your left hand was "thudding" on the keys a bit, and drowning out any melodic interest that your right hand was offering. Back off with the left hand and let the right hand sing out a bit more. A good way to practise this is to pretend to play the left hand while you're actually playing the right. If you can do that successfully, balancing the hands while you're actually making sound with both of them is no problem. Secondly, I felt that the interpretation was a little bit flat dynamically. Shape those right hand phrases! And give the piece a little more dynamic contrast in general. When you've got a piece such as this one, which maybe isn't as rhythmically or harmonically interesting as it could be, it's up to you to bring some expression to the performance so that it's not boring to the listener.

But you've got a good start, notes and rhythms seem secure, now it's time to start interpreting the music :-)

I gotta go with tm99 and bearcat on this one.
Interesting harmonies and melodic imagination are, among other things, the hallmarks of great music. You need to wander further afield harmonically, and get away from repetitive patterns. How many times do we need to hear those two chords before we get the idea? A melody would be nice....

You do have some facility at the keyboard - continue to develop that. Also, it would be nice to tune your instrument before your record it :-)

Good luck

ok, since you asked, I will be honest with you.

The music is very very boring!! It has no interesting harmony or melodic materials, and the playing is harsh and dull. It belongs to the wall-paper kind of music. Even if it's for movie back ground music, it doesn't possess any of the elements that enhance the film.

Sorry to be so harsh on you but I am being totally honest with you.

Yeah its really good, your bass notes were quite heavy though, try and lighten them up a little maybe and bring the tune out more. Well done for keeping the tempo steady. Keep practising xxx

I like the music and I do think that if you were the one that played it then it is a really good piece of music. Maybe you could compose some of your own music to give people a better example of the music that you are able to create and the talent that you truely have inside?
