I remember reading something once that said something to the affect of -if you worked so many day's straight possibly 12 or more , you were supposed to have 72 hours off. I have been on madatory overtime for over a month.7 days a week.

I don't know about Calif. but I don't think anyone can make you work. I believe that would be your choice. Making someone work against their will is called slavery and that was abolished several years ago. Haven't you heard?
Are you sure you don't mean "require" you to work?
How about this question.
What are the California Laws regarding How many consecutive days in a row your employees can make you pay them for not working?

am employer can only make you work 40 hours per week, federal labor law,.....
