most auto supply stores have something called a "clay stick" in the waxes and soaps Ilse. that is what the professionals would use to remove any sticky residue from the paint. its a tedious process but it does work; try it and you will have the best looking car on the block!

When you go to an auto supply store, you will see bug and tar remover. That will work. WD-40 will also work. good luck.
