My long term partner and I split up 6 months ago. He moved on to someone else very quickly. This hurt very much & I decided to find someone else to take it off my mind. I was sleeping with "mr rebound" I took the morning after pill, my period came 7 days early on the 10th of July.. I then had sex again with "Mr Rebound" during my period (i'm not sure if it was a ligit period as it was 7 days early and think it mite be from morning after pill)... My long term partner and I got back together and have been having sex ever since the 21st of July. I have tested positive to a pregnancy test, which reveals I am 4-5 weeks pregnant.
I had a vaginal ultrasound today which reveals I am about 4.5 weeks. Is there anyone out there who can help me with working this out. The dr said he puts his money on the fling guy and the ultrasound lady thinks it's my long term partner.
What's your opinion without being too harsh?

Wow, what? If your a month and a half and only have been having sex with your long term partner since July21st.. Then it is not his.. It is Mr. Rebound. Also, the morning after is not 100% you need to go to the doctor to make sure you did not get pregnant the first time with mr. rebound. The baby could have some birthdefects from that medication.. sounds like that period of 7 days may have been implantation bleeding. Go see your GYN>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
If I was to bet it would be on MR. ReBOUND also. Do the math.. It is not possible for it to be your long term....

I think your long term partner is your's baby father..if u get pregnant from "Mr Rebound" you now should be more then 4.5 weeks pregnant..If your doctor said that your ultrasound 4.5 weeks then mean you probably conceived at 21 july..
with "Mr Rebound" ultrasound will show that you are 5 week and more..because medical counting of pregnancy is first day of your last period..

well that would mean you got pregnant between the 9th and 16th of july roughly. My bet is on Mr.Rebound. The light period you had on the 10th might have been implantation bleeding and because all women are different, implantation bleeding can be anywhere from 1 days to 5 or 6 days it depends on the person.

Sorry love, this is a tricky one.
At first I thought "rebound guy" but then I realised that it could be your partner as actual conception would of only happened 2.5wks ago if you are 4.5wks pregnant.
I'm sure its your partner that is the father as you weren't sleeping with"rebound guy" when conception happened.
If he doesn't already know about the 'rebound guy' then don't tell him. I would bet money on a paternity test that it is his baby.

I say long term guy since you took the morning after pill. Do either one of the guys know you are pregnant? Now is the time to get those social security and driver's license numbers, you might need them later.

What's my opinion without being too harsh. Hmmm..... My opinion is that your story is yet another example of how easy it is to get caught up in ourselves and in our own emotions, and how we so often act irrationally and do dumb things based on our emotions and how we feel at the moment, instead of what makes sense and what is right. That's not a judgment, is the truth. I've done things ten times as stupid as what you have. I really don't have an opinion about who the dad is. But thanks for reminding me to not do dumb things.

I think you just have to wait and have DNA testing done if you really want to know. Our opinions can be right or wrong and it doesn't influence anything or particularly matter because only the test will be able to tell you.

"Mr. Rebound" is your father.
To be sure and on the safe side, as soon as the baby is born, get a paternity test.
