Why does he feel the need to state that he and Kate are not suspects?
I know that they are not at the moment but if they ever were to be declared as suspects do you think he would write in his blog saying ' Kate and I are now suspects'?

I know that they are being acused by many but I don't understand why he feels the need to put it in his blog. If he knows he's not a suspect then why should he care what other people think so much? Is it because he's worried about people not giving so much to the fund? Is it because he wants the world to see him as a martyr? Why is he so quick to protest his innocence and state that he is not a suspect and yet deny's the fact that what he and Kate did by leaving the children in the first place was wrong?

how he feels like writing anything on a website is beyond me, people seem to forget it was their fault in the first place but as they were wealthy white doctors, there negligence is ignored and instead they are given loads of media coverage, while a poor person who has had their child kidnapped which was no fault of their own, gets hardly any coverage/attention or financial help in comparison, it's disgusting, and though I don't yet believe they hurt her themselves they are to blame for her going missing in the first place and instead of spending time gleaming in the spotlight, what about the suffering their daughter probably went through due to their incompetence, preferring to eat a meal without their children and leaving them in a room alone, all three of them for goodness sake, lunacy, if that had been me I would have been arrested ages ago for child negligence but not them, they are immune from all that, they seem to enjoy the media attention far too much for my liking, the only person I feel sorry for is Maddy not them like the news are trying to make out, seems like if you are wealthy you get heaped with loads more money and attention even if you were incompetent in the first place, a poorer person would have had to leave Portugal ages ago, not by choice but due to lack of money, I certainly wouldn't feel like writing a blog or doing much else while my daughter could be dead or going through hell as a result of wanting to have a meal without the kids and not leaving them will a childminder, which they could easily have afforded, the stingy fools.

Does anyone remember there was an incident a few years ago where a girl was murdered at home and the mother and stepfather made several emotional television plees to find out who killed her? This went on for a few months and all the way through, the police said that the parents were not suspects and had never been suspects, that they were looking for an outsider. Well to cut a long story short, it turned out that the stepfather killer her and he was jailed for life I believe.
The reason I have used this is because a couple of years ago, I was watching a documentary on how police solve murder investigations. They used this case as an example and said that they knew all along the stepfather was guilty, but could not say anything until they had the one piece of vital evidence they were waiting for to prove it 100%. They said that they could not at any time let him know he was under suspicion for fear of scaring him off, encouraging him to hide or dispose of evidence. They had to lure him into a sense of security until the time was right.
Now Im not saying this is the case for the McCanns, but it is something to bear in mind. The police dont often disclose that anyone is or is not a suspect, especially when they do not even know what happened to the missing person in order to rule anyone out. However, who knows, they could have been asked to bow down because of the alleged "poor treatment" they have been receiving in Portugal.
I do think it is pretty strange that he would put this in his blog though. The blog should be a bit more about Madeleine and a bit less about them!

that blog, it's so annoying. No one in this world cares that their kids went swimming for an hour, or that the media were lined up nicely outside the church. And the way they keep saying "see - we're not suspects" just makes them look more guilty.
Though, he probably would write that they were now suspects, and then go on to talk about their lovely meal at the local restaurant, which, obviously, we all really want and need to know.

How would he truly know, he's not the investigator's. If they were suspects the police can't bring anything forward unless they had solid evidence which with all the attention this case is getting, the police would make sure they do. Probably not if they were suspects, we wouldn't hear a peep on his beloved blog because if that did happen, they wouldn't have Internet were he'd be going.

If you were being accused by thousands of people in and out of the media all around the world of being a paedophile who has possibly murdered your own child could you sit and say nothing?
Edit: to quote you: 'If he knows he's not a suspect then why should he care what other people think so much?' You or I don't have any idea what it feels like to be in his position. How do you know that you wouldn't feel the need to shout if from the roof tops that you weren't a suspect in your child's abduction? I think most of us would want it said, and very loudly! I don't find it in the slightest bit strange or fishy. People are reading far too much into every little detail of this case and it's only the details that the media are giving us for the most part. It's not even coming from the police.

Hey I dont even understand why he feels the need to have a blog to tell us how he lives each day. I do not see how it has any relation to finding Madeleine what they eat or how far they run.

It's all too fishy!!
And the fact they have (Everything I Do) I Do It For You playing on that site is just sick.
Everything they do.. such as leaving you alone with the twins when anything could happen.
Creeps me out thats all.

I suspect this is guilt for leaving her alone. They are pretty defensive when either they or their friends are brought under the spotlight.

They probably felt the need to do this in response to the amount of people that think they were involved
