its 4:24 am and its supposed to be in the n.e. sky, right? i' ve only seen 2 meteors so far, about an hour apart. i thought we were supposed to see a real meteor shower!!

It's 2:45 in Calif and I see several within a couple of mins, then nothing for like 5 mins. Sounds like it was a bit of a dud for the most part.

You can't see meteors by looking now and then at the sky! It takes 20 minutes for your eyes to get dark adapted, and any light will ruin that, and you'll have to start over. Spend at least an HOUR at a stretch. The sky needs to be really dark to see all but the very brightest. Also, you can go 15 or 20 minutes without seeing anything, then see half a dozen in a row. PATIENCE is what's required, as in any astronomical observation. I saw dozens of meteors over a three hour period myself.

still blinded by horizon glare from light sources

sorta cool, but am dissapointed. The leonids shower is much cooler

It is 5:34 a.m. here in Northern NJ and my son and I are utterly disappointed. The sky was covered with clouds all evening and nothing darted across the sky but for the occasional red eye flight. Maybe we'll get to see something tonight even though it has peaked.

I saw it at 12a.m. in India ,Asia.I saw it for maximum 3 min.It looked very beautiful.It looked such crackers bursting in the sky.
