OK i went for a pap two weeks ago and the pap was normal so nothings wrong.

I am on the pill mercilon, i have been taking it for 2.5 yrs. i miss a few pills every now and then. last week tues and wed i missed pills due to losing them... they popped out the pack and landed somewhere and i havent seen them since! then two days later (friday) i started bleeding. i am in the third week of my pack. its very brown and sometimes red, it has been going on like this for 4days, very light though- i cant use a tampon coz its too dry i have also had cramping during this time. so it could be considered spotting. the thing is i have been having unprotected sex with my partner for a few weeks, is this breakthrough bleeding or could it be implantation bleeding? i did miss a few pills in my first week of this pack due to stress and general forgetfullness. i have never had breakthrough bleeding before! and i have missed pills like this before.

will i get a normal period when placebo comes?

It could be a variety of things. Your best best is to go to a clinic and get checked or wait to see if the bleeding stops. It could easily be implantation bleeding and cramping as part as your regular cycle and nothing more. How many days are you away from taking your placebo pills? I would suggest waiting till your time of the month and seeing if your period comes. It is actually common to have spotting sometimes when the implantation is occurring. It happened to me recently for the first time recently so it could just be that.

If you missed a few pills here and there you have that possibility of becoming pregnant. When I was cramping I thought I was getting my period early, but it never came. I indeed end up being pregnant.

Your best bet is to wait for your period and see if it comes. If your really worried about it, go get checked.

It seems to me like you have this problem every month. If you cant remember to take your pills then maybe you should either get an alternate form of bc or go off bc altogether. Yes the breakthrough bleeding is normal. I dont know if you will get your period when your placebos start. I wouldnt really worry about pregnancy until you have missed 2 periods. This breakthrough bleeding can be considered a period as your body probably interpreted the missing pills as the start of the placebos. Other than that I dont know what else anyone can tell you. If you are really that concerned than go see your physician.

It can depend on the specific brand of pill being used. I've had it happen before where I missed a pill and never bled either and then about 2 months ago or so I missed a pill because the bathroom sink ate my pill that I was supposed to take that Sat and I didn't know what to do. Because of it I ended up having breakthrough bleeding.

Also, I learned with breakthrough bleeding that sometimes when I get stressed about something I will spot and have breakthrough bleeding.

I would recommend getting in touch with your doctor to see what they want you to do. My doctor had to have me double up on pills with the help of another pack of pills to try and straighten things out.

Sounds like you've not been very careful about your pills at all... It sounds to me like you ought to see a doctor, take a pregnancy test. If you are not pregnant, perhaps you ought to discuss other methods of contraception you cannot "forget" to take. I was always the same with the pill too, the doctor suggested depo injections every three months. Since having all my children now, I have a 3 year implant. If you're not good at remembering the pill, there are alternatives, but your doctor needs to know about this.

As for your bleeding, it could just be the interuption in your pattern. Are you experiencing any other pregnancy symptoms? If you're not happy with what's happening, talk to a doctor, or a family planning clinic.

Good luck, I hope everything turns out ok

When u miss your birth control pills like u do., then yes you will have break through bleeding. It can be brown or red. Try to take your pill at the same time every day and your body will adjust. Or just maybe after you can get stable on your birth control, and if you are still having problems then just maybe you will need to change the pill. First get very stable on taking your pill., or u might end up with a surprise.

spotting and irregular periods are not that abnormal, especially if you have missed taking several pills this month. you may get your regular period but if not just begin your normal pills when you are supposed to and you should find this sorts itself out. It is due to the hormones that are in the pill and u not taking them faithfully. If you are concerned about pregnanacy do an at home kit before starting the next months pills. Also you should probably use another source of birth control for the next month as the pill may not work 100 per cent in the next cycle either.

Honey, you basically published a question approximately 17 minutes in the past.....it takes time. the day gone by I published 2 questions and basically have 2 responses on a million and a million on yet another and that i answer human beings's questions each and every of the time. If no one knows of something approximately your question, they do no longer seem to be going to respond to.....in case you do not get an answer, touch your dr or do study on line. i'm no longer being advise, in basic terms pointing out the information.

I too think the most probable reason is maybe because this is to long for people to read when they can answer simpler shorter questions . Consult your doctor; obey and believe him ..............
