I think its probably the same all over the world.....Every kid is different, every home is different..I am an Aussie mum of 3 teenage kids and even though they have alot of friends and do go out alot, I have never seen any signs of drugs or drinking. I think they are mostly used to just hanging out and having fun as a group.

I'm in OZ and I think from what I read and see, children in the US seem to act older, but are just trying to be more mature and grown up. The clothes the girls wear are just ridiculous but i do see tarty looking girls here too. I guess its really up to the parents to make their children act their age. And if they let their kids go to parties where alcohol is served to minors then they are asking for trouble. I like the fact that kids here don't get their licence till 17 and not 16 though. (it should be 18 i reckon) Once kids start driving, its all down hill, as they think they're adults when really 16 is still a kid.

There are many teenagers in both societies who drink and party etc.
You generally hear about the bad ones. I live in New Zealand and I know 14year olds who drink and party.
I think teenagers in general want to grow up fast and do things that they think will make them mature, like drink and have underage sex.
Just don't be one of the silly ones!

id have to say the opposite. Teens in America may experiment more with highly illegal drugs but Aussie kids tend to be more into the "once your old enough" drugs. Its more accepted.

IDK, I mean not necessarily, but its more of a family culture thing. Maybe parents in USA mostly have a different way of raising their children to Australians. Well, like in my class, more than half of them (the students) are immature retards and I live in Australia. Maybe in USA, the students at schools are developed as in they're not as weird and naive as some people in different places (Anywhere I guess) but again, its all different around the world.

Yes this is happening cause what I read in here that 14 year ols girls do is unbelievable.I'm from Greece and things are very different.I personally think that this happens cause parents aren't by their children leaving them more space than needed and without supervision.Things must change over there!!

i think how you grow up all depends on the person not so much where they grow up for ex. i've grown up in america too and i never drank or did drugs although i was influenced too, i think it depends on who the person is and what their all about and being what their influences are.
