I don't know how I did it, but I looked at my pills this morning and the next one in line was Wednesday's not Monday's. Somehow I've managed to take two extra pills without realising, I take them first thing in the morning when I take my three thyroxine tablets, so I think I got them mixed up.

Will this have any bad effects?

It should not do you any harm
but it will mean that you will be 3 pills short at the end of the packet.
to avoid confusion take 3 active pills from your next packet.Have your days off as usual then start a completely new packet.you then will be where you would be normally. The packet that you opened-do not use (you can put it away in case you ever loose a pill etc)

What I often suggest is attaching your birth pill packet to your toothbrush Then CLEAN TEETH TAKE PILL establishes a routine and can easily check that you have taken pill

They have very little potential for problems in low overdose. If you want to preserve you contraceptive cover take your pill tomorrow as usual, do not miss it!

Not really, it'll still work, it'll put your period on a different schedule and you shouldn't stop taking them.

I would definitely call your doctor to see what they suggest. This could cause you to have your cycle be messed up for a couple days.
