I always do. That's what my Yahoo Messenger is used for. To alert me of new messages. Besides, I enjoy receiving email from people.

Yes, I've made a couple of contacts with like interests that way. You can find out stuff. I answered a question about the TV Frasier and a guy from the U.K. and I e-mailed that way a few time and it was interesting to hear about TV over there.
Another guy steered me to an on-line lecture series from M.I.T. that I've been using. So on top of simple etiquette it can sometimes be beneficial.

i get kind of excited when i see that on my new messages! just not knowing who wrote to you or what they wote makes it a bit interesting LOL.
but to be honest with you, i usually find it a bit difficult responding(i wont exactly know what to say) so maybe im just a little lazy in resonding, unless i already know what we are going to talk about. OR sometimes i am too busy to respond ASAP, depending on how long the message will be. but i do love getting messages! :o)

Yes! At times its hard when the violations and mail from friends come in all at the same time. Friends and contacts come first. The violations will stay in Limbo. I appreciate all the contact I've had from contacts and fans. To the ones I never could say thank you to; THANK YOU ! My motto is" Stay safe and fly low." Please heed my words.

No I don't. At least not ASAP. And it depends on the message context.
