On hearing the news that police suspect that Madeleine may be dead, without informing the McCanns firsthand ....

"A family friend said: "Gerry is raging, livid, that nobody from the police had the decency to even pick up the phone and talk to him.""

He seems to get angry quite a lot when things don't go his way.

Hope something didn't make him snap on May 3rd.

I don't understand why the McCanns need the police to tell them their daughter may be dead. Surely this was , sadly, an obvious possibility right from the start? So why is Mr. McCann so angry about it?

Could someone tell me if it is possible, and where, to view the video clip of Mr. McCann on the shuttle bus being told to cheer up etc.?

I don't think this tells us a lot, if he is innocent then he probably has every right to be livid. Perhaps what tells us more is that earlier in the week, at bed time, Maddie had run away from the apartment and hidden in the complex grounds for half an hour, I wonder why.

Sources for this are reports from centre employees reported in the local press.

Why would there ring when he could be suspect, it would be very intriging to have someone on the inside such as him to steer the investigaiton a different way when his own alibi and his friends are rather shaky. They might be keeping him out for not gaining any further information as he might not be that trustworthy after all

But then we are judging which is no ones right, the truth will come out eventually, so let us leave it alone and hope that the culprit male or female will recieve what justice dictates.

Hi!

Yep!!

I always said from the very beginning he was a complete control freak!!

I've watched that video of Maddie where she is quite close to the camera and she is looking up at whoever is doing the filming. When you look at her eyes, they look as if they are kind of - not exactly frightened or scared - but not happy - a little cautious you might say. She is doing some kind of side to side dance.

It's as though she's going through the motions to be a good girl for whoever is on the otherside of the camera. Gerry, pehaps?!! Who knows?

Something is deffo sus, not sure what, but I hope for all our sakes it comes out in the end!

If the Police genuinally feel that Madeleine is dead and the McCanns are not suspects, then I do think it is out of order that they haven't consulted with them first.

If the McCanns are suspects, it may have been done to see how they react.

i grew up with a father who was very controlling and had a vicious temper when things did not go his way, i have been struck from the very start how much Gerry reminds me of my father, its there in the way he holds himself, the way he looks at people, the way he speaks and the things he says, on the whole the man gives me the creeps there is something about him that is just WRONG.

"fear" and "rage"often go hand in hand,i think this is Gerry McCanns problem.Going home and returning to some sort of normality or what passes for that is what most of us would do.Instead, thanks to misguided sympathies he's able to use the"fund monies" to further his own agenda in which his daughter doesn't appear to play a great part, strange days indeed.

i see Gerry as a controlling person and have backed this up before on here before anyone jumps on my comment.

when this case started, he was in control of what was said, where he went, the fund blardy blar.
Now though, the tide has turned, he is no longer immediately told about new developments surrounding the case, has had to defend his friends and family against accusations and has no idea (we have to assume) of what happened to his daughter.

when someone who likes to control has it taken away from them, it would provoke a reaction, more then likely an angry one, as we see here

Wouldn't you have anger management issues (& a whole lot of other issues as well) if you were in his shoes?
And i know you'd never leave your babies unattended...
i'm talking about, if you were breaking inside with the thought of what your missing child must be suffering/ have suffered & had to cope at the very same time with complete strangers dissecting your every move & breath and accusing you of the unimaginable.
Of course hes going to be angry!
Hey! Angry is an understatement for what you'd be...

And the accusation in your last statement is nothing short of cruel...sounds like a bull-headed influence to me...

Find fault for leaving their children unattended but leave accusing them of "intent to harm" only for when you have clear & solid PROOF.

Neither he or his wife have been straight out of the gate so to speak and maybe if they we're there would be less questions about them. Read the article about it, though I must say it's nice to hear of some sort of emotion from him.
