Have you been tested for Iron deficiency anemia, or hypothyroidism which might account for the Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.? Don't laugh ! It's not only a woman's problem. Esp if you have been physically active before and now constantly feel tired.

Get some motivation. Are you depressed? You might not be getting quality sleep; that's why you're still tired and fatigued even after 7- 8 hrs of sleep. Develop a habit of going to bed at the same time and at regular times. Try meditation and yoga. Maybe; you have achieved a lot of your goals in life and now don't feel that you have to struggle any further.

Do not go to bed overly exhausted. Avoid limiting stimulating activities before bedtime. Avoid caffeine such as soda; alcohol and coffee whose caffeine will make you hyper. Thus unable to sleep. Don't you have a wife or love interest? Develop a hobby or interest in some project. Get involved in your community or at the job place.

Avoid stress and anxiety. Try to maintain a regular bedtime routine. Use an alarm clock either with music or alarm to wake up to initially. . Once this habit is formed or established; you won't be needing that alarm clock anymore. to wake up in the morning.

Are you overweight? Obesity can cause sleep apnea and feelings of laziness and fatigue. If so, lose the weight. You'll feel much better and your energy level will improved as weell as all those aches and pains associated with carrying that extra weight around. Try to do regular exercises.

Correct your diet. A diet high in sweets; processed foods and the like and carbohydrates tend to cause hyperinsulinism and fatigue.

Aside from taking vitamins and minerals and improving your diet; you should watch your potassium level. Low potassium can lead to fatigue and low energy levels . The following foods are rich in potassium: bananas, oranges, apricots, dates, potatoes. Foods rich in iron and folic acid will boost your energy: liver, eggs, chicken, beans, peas; fish. Green and leafy vegeatables such as spinach and brussel sprouts are well known .Lentil, yams, nuts, sesame; pumpkin seeds and broccoli are another.

I read somewhere where a physician discovered that by incorporating foods rich in zinc, copper and magnesium in his diet, he greatly solved the problem of being tired all the time. Aside from such vitamins, we need these minerals to balance out for adequate nutritional benefits to boost our immune system. He also discovered that too much iron in a man is no good. So he tries to donate some blood every month; (women have their monthly menstrual cycle. Apparently, this is a safeguard mechanism why women tend to have longer lifespan than men.) There might be some truth to that. So it doesn't hurt to try!

Good Luck! I hope your problem will be solved soon.

You should try to schedule a bed time routin a little earlier on in the night. Generally it helps your body restore itself naturally as apposed to going to the doctor to get some medicine. It's not really something that needs medication but more of a lifestyle change. Do some cleaning around your house, stretch a little, take a walk somewhere. Go exploring. Life is full of things to discover! Go see them!

you really do need to get to bed earlier, even though your getting 7-8 hrs, your body still needs more. try sleeping at 11 instead. maybe your not sleeping well, is your bed and pillow ok? also you need to be really active in the days, so start the day with a good breakie, a hot shower and get out and do something or excercise, then you will be tired when you come home and rest easier.
