The six dollar burger at carls is not sold for six dollars, its supposed to be worth six dollars if you got it at a traditional sit down place. I think carls sells it for $4.75. Below is from Wiki:
Featured food items include the Double Western Bacon Cheeseburger and the Six Dollar Burger, so called because it is claimed to be of the same quality of a burger one would pay six dollars for in a sit-down restaurant.

Why would they charge less than $6 for the Six Dollar burger? That just doesn't make sense. I guess it's so that customers would feel they were getting a good deal. I doubt they'll ever charge over $6 like $7 though. That would make even less sense.

The only justification they need is the sales figures! If a product is selling well, they will continue to offer it.

It's simple supply and demand. Since a group of people continues to buy it at that price, they are able to make money with it at that price.
