No. It's only the first game. Last season their record was 28-5-5 and they were the champions. They can afford to lose or draw a few games.

They got Tevez who can replace Rooney. That's what the deep bench is for, to replace injured players.

Regarding your comparison with Chelsea last season, it's actually opposite. United still has 37 games to catch up so that's a lot of chances to make up for the draw. It's more difficult to catch up when a team has fewer games left.

Look at some opening day facts:

1995 - lost 3-1 at Villa
1998 - drew 2-2 with Leicester
1999 - drew 1-1 with Everton

yet in all these seasons, they managed to come back and win the Premiership. No, they certainly HAVEN'T already lost the league.

I wish!!! This is gonna be the closest premiership title race ever in my opinion. I really can see there being at least four teams in with a shout of winning it with ten games to go. It will all come down to who holds their nerve the best. Only for that reason do I think that Man Utd or Chelsea will win it as they have the experience to fall back on unlike Liverpool or the Arsenal youngsters.

No way. It was disappointing but Reading came out just to defend the game and their tactics were good. It was frustrating but Chelsea and Liverpool will definately drop 2 points themselves in the next few games so i`m not worried. It`s a big blow not having Rooney but Tevez is a good substitute and if anyone can do pressure it`s Fergie. I have faith in the Master.

right..time to get thngs off my chest..
THIS IS WHY IM NOT AS SURE as i was before the season THAT MANU ARE GOING TO WIN THE TItleE:
no its not just because we drew yesterday,i dont think thats the main thing manu fans are concerned about..its because rooney is out for quite a while and hes a very influential player who links up really well with ronaldo. also the way chelsea played yesterday, well it pains me to say it but they played like utd!impressive attacking play..their squad looks much stronger than ours too. and people tell me if im wrong but do you really think tevez is going to be a good enough sub for rooney?im not to sure myself

No, but i think the oposition is much much stronger this year, Chelsea looked good the the new signings scored and look to be well upto speed already ,creating loads of chances, idont think Liverpool have enough and as for Arsenal, well they need to get rid of the Clown in goal to get to Champions league position.

This is laughable. Nothing is decided on the first weekend of the season. You cannot rule out Man Utd anymore than you can rule out the gooners. Also Spurs will bounce back.

Don't be silly. Why do people do that as soon as something goes wrong they're the first to critisize. It was the same with Leeds when we got docked the points people started saying it look likes relagation straight away. Give people a chance. Even I do it but I shouldn't.

I know a draw is not the best start to the season but I think its just a bit premature to say we are now out of the title race.
