it saved many people's lives, so i don't think it should be illegal, that'll be... horrible for those that made a mistake.. most deserve second chances.

I do not think early abortions should be illegal.

I am glad they outlawed the partial birth abortions and are working on the late term ones.

I do not believe in abortion.

I do believe in Everyone's right to adequate medical care.

It would be immoral to go back to unsanitary back rooms, coat hangers, and black market abortions.

So, for the people who chose this procedure, I believe they should have legal access to an early abortion.

Even if I would rather you not have an abortion to begin with.

Regarding Punishment: Have you ever talked to someone who has had an abortion? The punishment is lifelong self-doubt, regret and grief for the loss of that child. Some women Never get over it.

So, like the people said, careful where that 'lil sperm goes.

I do not think that abortion should be illegal. I mean, if a woman got raped, and later ended up pregnant? Thats just cruel, to let a woman have a baby by someone she didnt know, and it wasnt even their fault that they got raped. Sure its her choice to get an abortion, but other people might not accept that, or the fact that they want to keep the baby. My step mom had a baby at 16, and got kicked out of her house by her own mother, because she got pregnant.

I used to be strongly pro-life until I got pregnant myself. I could then understand why someone would want to get an abortion. I do feel we as women have the right to choose when it comes to this decision. I chose to give my son up for adoption rather than abort him. The reasons I chose adoption over abortion are irrelevant. I believe there should be a choice. I do feel it's completely immoral to use abortion as a form of birth control (as opposed to using birth control pills, condoms, etc.), or to control the desired results of child produced (say, aborting a child who is a girl when the mother wants a boy).

Yep. The punishment should be the same as if they murdered a 5 year old or 25 year old. No difference.
Abortion or any kind of murder for that matter is selfishness taken to the extreme. "I don't like how this person is going to effect me so I'm going to kill them." That's just ugly, folks.

Abortion is...

-- Totally harmless.

-- Opposed only by hateful, ignorant, and bigoted dolts.

-- A **hugely-benefical** REMEDY for an unwanted medical condition.

-- In any given 18-year-long period has enabled no fewer than a BILLION (with a "B") women, worldwide, to have their full ranges of future opportunities RESTORED to PRE-ill-timed-pregnancy levels.

There is NOTHING "immoral" about abortion -- and **everything** immoral about seeking to FORCE any girl or woman to gestate an UNwanted pregnancy to term against her will. That would be a very real, 9-month-long form of RAPE.

Yes it should be illegal it is murder. People make up any reason they can to justify it.
It should only be performed in emergency life or death situations and young girls under 14 who also are not mature enough for safe delivery.
Adoption is the answer to the dilemma. People must take responsibility for there actions.
rape cases are a sad cold fact of life but one crime does not justify the other and the victim should consider adoption .

I speak from Personal experience and chose adoption.

Abortion should always be legal. What a women does with her own body is no ones business but hers. It is not in any way immoral or punishable.

here's my viewpoint:

if a woman (or girl) is raped (or molested), then i think it should be very legal. when that child asks "mommy, where's daddy?" or "who's my real daddy?" what's she gonna say? i mean, what if her uncle or her dad molested or raped her? those things just make me second guess if humans deserve to live, but that's a different topic.

abortion shouldnt be used as just birth control. that i dont agree with. but in cases of rape or molestation, i think it's ok.
