Sorry Seems To Be The Hardest Word is a really good sad love song. It's written and sung originally by Elton John. Clay Aiken does an awesome remake of the song as well on his second album. Another one I really like is Lonely No More, sung by Clay Aiken on his second album. I also like Right Here Waiting by Richard Marx. Clay Aiken also does this song. BSB has two new songs out on the internet right now called Happily Never After and Inconsolable which are really good. There are so many of them.

Happy Ending by Mika (new and the best)
Umberella by Rihanna (new, but i'm sure you've heard of this)
Unique is my Dove by Matisyahu (New, Unique and beautiful)
This I Promise You by Nsync (Old School, but still lovely)
I Will Still Love You by Britney Spears feat. Brian Mcnight (Oldschool, and I LOVE THIS, it's almost like a wedding song)

A Lot To Lose by Tesla: I don't know if others consider it "sad" but I do...It is simple and prevelant to a lot of people and it always makes me feel better after I listen to it! Silly being that it's sad ...Right!
